Saying "NO"

Okay, Caydancana, this is for you.

Hey, y'all! How are you doing on this fine day?

So, Miss Caydancana Poiyotha requested that I write about, well, nothing exactly in particular. But from what you wrote, I'm going to guess that you want me to talk about saying NO in certain situations.

And, I have not personally had to say no to a situation like you wrote about.

Now, before you all go saying, "What did she tell you about? What was it?", I'm not going to tell you. It seemed like a personal thing.

But, I just have a quick question. Why were you even there in the first place at your age?

Whatever. No reason.

So, I know that a lot of people are thinking that in order to break out of your comfort zone, you have to say yes to everything.

I don't totally agree with that.

Saying yes to somethings is good. For instance, saying yes to being asked out on a date is a good thing. But saying yes to doing something life-threatening, like car-surfing or smoking cigarettes, is not good.

Personally, I feel like whenever YouTubers make a video where all they talk about is saying yes to different situations outside of their comfort zones, they are basically saying say yes to anything and everything. Which can be dangerous.

So, what I am saying, is don't say yes to everything and anything. If you are uncomfortable with doing something, you can say no. But don't let the fear of the unknown hinder your life.

Although, yes, I am telling you to say no whenever you feel necessary, I can personally say that in certain situations, I said no.

And I regret it.

I don't want you to suffer that same regret.

So, say yes when you think you should and comfortably can, but say no whenever you feel the need to.

I'm sorry if this didn't make sense.

Love always,
Maia
